the inevitable has been done. almost. i went through my collection of cds.
at first, i thought i had lost my 'parachutes', but found it hidden behind my 'rush of blood to the head'. and when i decided on which other wilco cd to keep in my new cd wallet, i realised to my horror that i have no idea where my 'yankee hotel foxtrot' is. ARGH!!!! that's like one of the most prized album in my collection. urgh. so now if anyone has my disc cos he/she borrowed it and i forgot, please tell me. it's quite unlikely you bought the disc, since it wasn't a big name release in singapore, so if you have the disc and have no idea what it is, it is mine. of course, it's probably somewhere in my room, meaning i'll find it soon. i hope.
out of the 90 discs i have (which doesn't include a few awful choices i've made in the past, but which includes both discs in a double album), i've chosen these 23 to keep with me throughout the flight, which represents the music i will still have if both my home computer and my laptop exploded and my luggage containing the other discs is lost:
(in no particular order of merit)
'end of love', clem snide
'dizzy up the girl', the goo goo dolls
'beautiful freak', eels
'songs for silverman', ben folds
'parachutes' ,coldplay
'the best of', blur
'be here now', oasis
'postcards from heaven', lighthouse family
'you were a diamond', clem snide
'the invisible band', travis
'the best of', nirvana
'morning view', incubus
'your favorite music', clem snide
'satellite rides', old 97's
'electro-shock blues', eels
'summerteeth', wilco
'the man who', travis
'thank you (the best of)', stone temple pilots
'by the way', red hot chili peppers
'the best of', robbie williams
'what's the story (morning glory)?', oasis
'rainy day music', the jayhawks
'yankee hotel foxtrot', wilco ---- currently LOST!!!
which leaves me one very last spot, for a cd i will most likely be burning soon.
things i bought today:
adidas bag, sandy brown (or according to adidas 'sesame') - $45
new balance running shoes (NOT the army type. better) - $80
