eating air wasn't as good as i remembered it, but somehow it was different. it was by no means bad. it was still a fantastic movie. but in the end, it touched me in a very different way.
but instead of writing about why i thought it was good, and therefore end up in a mire of amatuer critique which i am in no place to provide, i'll just say this: it was, and perhaps still is, what singaporean filmmakers should strive for. something that tells a simple story and tells it well. a story that is real, but not mundane. and most importantly, something that provokes thought, be it stylistically or thematically.
