i'll pull some atmosphere over our shoulder and settle in for a nap

because i need to post something in order to push the offending post off the main page, here i am. well, nothing too much to say actually, except that i am doing quite alright. congrats to everyone who just ORDed. hope you guys make good use of these coming few months of slacking time. be glad you have this time, because i will never really get it.

just a little side note for entertainment. i read that the condensation trails of planes actually contribute significantly to global warming. apparently, when they happen in the day, they reflect off more heat than they trap, but in the night, they trap more heat then they reflect. that should be quite obvious. however, these condensation trails seem to happen more at night, or rather, at times where they trap more heat than they reflect. the coolest part is that when they grounded all flights after 9/11, there was actually a noticeable decrease in the temperature of the earth. there are now talks of rescheduling some flights in order to avoid this impact. oh the wonders of science
