suddenly, i'm struck by how easy it is to make a clean break with the past. rather, how easily the past will make a clean break of you if you let it. i realise that we all simply move through stages of our lives, and usually we take little more from these periods to time than a few memories and if you are luckily, some new friends.
i'm getting worried by the fact that almost everyone i'm meeting now i will only be acquainted with temporarily. at the end of the day, we will all go home to wherever our homes are and that will be the end of it all. how depressing.
