i just bought my airtickets to go home this winter. yes, i've decided to go home. not really because i'm feeling very homesick, but it just got to a point where i thought it would just be proper for me to go. i mean, i've been away from home before obviously, but i suppose it is selfish for me to keep thinking about this like it concerns me only, cos obviously my parents want to see me and it would be selfish of me to not want to go back. and i do escape about 3 weeks of bitter winter, which is nice. and get to see some other people i really really want to see.
a little late to ask, but what do people think about northwest airlines? i know it's supposed to be pretty bad, but i guess my idea of a good flight is one you can walk away from, and gets you to where you want to be roughly when you expect to be there? so i'm not exactly demanding in that sense. itinerary is as follows: chicago midway airport (which is like just 10 miles east of where i stay) to st paul international in minneapolis to narita international airport to singapore. so just one more stop, which saves me about 100 USD, with the extra perk of flying in and out via midway and not o'hare, which is waaaaaaay further. midway is just 1 bus ride away from shoreland hall, so i can lug a suitcase and still get on the bus without too many problems. bus drivers here are nice anyways. the flight is costing me like 960USD return, so it's pretty good. now i just hope it goes well and no luggage will be lost.
