so i realize i have 2 songs in my windows media player both called 'trouble'. the first and more famous one is by coldplay, which i'm sure most people have heard due to incessant radio airplay maybe 5 years ago. the second is a beautiful song by the jayhawks, which is less well known.
the two songs have quite little to do with each other. i was going to write about what i feel the songs are about, but i decided it would be too much effort and it probably would be highly inaccurate. the only thing i can objectively say about the two songs is that they are both good for rainy days, and since this is one, i'm quite glad that i have them both.
a short fictional interlude:
He never liked text messages. He understood their convenience and used it as much as anyone. He did, however, hate the character limits. 320 characters might be enough to agree to something, but it's typically insufficient to explain why he might refuse.
The raindrops started to accumulate on his window. Despite the bad weather, he thought about how much he will soon be missing this place. His phone starting to beep.
"So we're still gd for 2night?"
He thought about it for a second. 320 characters. He replied:
"sure"
interlude over. the two 'troubles' have looped about 5 times on my playlist. time to go do/listen to something else. but to clarify, because someone actually asked: the interludes are not about me or anything in my life. think about them as a back story to a bigger story that i've been thinking about, and i'm just organizing some ideas.
