i cannot claim to be more than a passenger

i realise that i'm much happier these past few days. i shall try to break down why.

first of all i suppose it's cos my plans for spring break are now largely settled. i'm going to the UK from the 15th to the 23rd, and probably to prague sometime during that period. all that's left is to figure out how prague's going to work, and then it's just getting through the rest of the quarter.

secondly, i think my faith in economics has been revived. even after all the math, there's still so much that is fascinating about economics. and for the first time i can see myself actually enjoying being a public sector economist, essentially doing econ-based research. i'm just really glad i took this environmental econ class, cos even though it's not best class i've taken, it triggered a lot of interest in me for econ again, more than i've felt for a long time. and now i'm excited to take more classes in the same vein, which i will be.

third, the weather is improving, which is always nice. today was particularly nice after freezing temperatures for the past 2 weeks.

i think that's pretty much it. that and just how comfortable i feel these days, which is always nice. if life doesn't get too much better than this, i don't think i'll mind too horribly.
